The Long Beach Opera is the oldest opera company in the area, going all the way back to 1979! It presents a variety of opera, from old classics to modern works, and offers an education program for students interested in music and drama.

The Long Beach Symphony Orchestra is one of the older orchestras in the Greater Los Angeles area, and has a classics program, a pops program, and a youth music education program.

The Long Beach Ballet has it roots in the two schools founded by graduates of the United Kingdom's Royal Academy of Dance; one school was founded in the 1950s, the other in the 1960s, and later consolidated into the Long Beach Ballet. The LBB today gives performances through the year, and offers youth dance education, including kids level training, intensive training, and summer camps.
